Swedish country style refers to a design aesthetic that combines rustic elements with a clean and airy feel. Often characterized by falu red buildings, natural materials, and vintage furnishings, this style creates a cozy and inviting atmosphere reminiscent of a charming Scandinavian countryside cottage.
This lovely garden belongs to Mariana Sjoberg who lives in Sweden. She writes about her garden at M/S DESIGN Trädgård och Keramik.
I am craving all things Swedish at the moment. From the stereotypical spare bright and simple interiors to Ikea style (does everyone in Sweden’s house look like that?) I love the simplicity that it all seems to imply. The gardens also hold great appeal to me. They are earthy and a little bit wild, and the light…..I wish I had light like that in Massachusetts.

A Swedish garden typically features a mix of native plants, lush greenery, and minimalist design elements. Common features may include birch trees, wildflowers, and stone pathways. This style of gardening emphasizes simplicity, tranquility, and natural beauty, making it a popular choice for landscape enthusiasts around the world.
